- Work Monday to Friday on a weekly rotating roster of 6am-2pm one week and 2pm-10pm the following week.
- Responsibilities:
- You will be working in a wash bay environment, cleaning equipment that is used during the packaging process- Use chemicals to clean equipment and tools whilst adhering to cleaning schedules and other priorities-
- Detool and assemble equipment-
- Understand the importance of PPE and ensure it is used correctly-
- Liaise with Packaging Team Leader regarding work schedule-
- Cleaning rooms and equipment and maintain a neat and tidy work place in line with Lean Manufacturing and 6S practices-
- Set up and operate packaging machines in accordance with relevant procedures and specifications. Ensure packaging line is operating at optimum speed. Escalate issues in a timely manner.-
- Enter data into SAP-
- Provide training to new operators-
- Perform clean checks and line approvals-
- Pack products as outlined in batch packaging documents and complete all relevant documentation-
- Store and transfer bulk tablets, packaging components and packed product appropriately-
- Ensure that packaging rooms and corridors are kept clean, neat and tidy at all times-
- Distinguish between poor and good quality product. Assist in sorting when necessary-
- Moderate physical demand. Continuous/frequent lifting/moving average weight (11-27 kgs) and occasionally lifting heavy weight materials or strenuous activity.-
- Subject to some degree of stringent guidelines/adherence to ensure work quality and process. Injuries could result in loss of time or affect work quality. Care is required to prevent injury to self and others.-
- Assist in problem solving and Continuous Improvement activities.-
- Other duties as required by the manager of the role-
