Job Title: Operational Communications Specialist

Overview: We seek a highly skilled Operational Communications Specialist to join our Fire and Rescue operations at HMAS Cerberus. This role involves maintaining operational readiness, responding to incidents, and providing support to the Incident Controller.
\
Key Responsibilities:
\
* Maintain an effective operational readiness in accordance with relevant policies and guidelines
\
* Respond to incidents as required and maintain support and communications with the Incident Controller
\
* Assist the Officer in Charge (OIC) to ensure all administrative duties are performed
\
* Participate in the Fire Station training and development plan
\
Requirements:
\
* Hold one of the following qualifications in each of the five boxes:
\
* PUA FIR 210 Prevent Injury
\
* PUA FIR 215 Prevent Injury (Superseded)
\
* EQ PUA FIR 201B Prevent Injury (Superseded)
\
* PUAOPE 013 Operate Communication Systems and Equipment
\
* PUAOPE 013A Operate Communication Systems and Equipment (Superseded)
\
* EQ PUATEA 001 Work in a Team
\
* PUATEA 001B Work in a Team (Superseded)
\
* EQ PUACOM 001 Communicate in the Workplace
\
* PUACOM 001C Communicate in the Workplace (Superseded)
\
* EQ PUATEA 002 Work Autonomously
\
* PUATEA 002B Work Autonomously (Superseded)
\
Additional Requirements:
\
* Previous experience in communications rooms is highly desirable
\
* Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1
\
* As a result, the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen
\
