The Agitator Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating and maintaining large agitator trucks to transport concrete and materials to construction sites. Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials according to schedules is also an essential responsibility. Furthermore, conducting pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of vehicles, monitoring and maintaining agitator mixers and equipment in good working order, providing excellent customer service to site managers and personnel, completing paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly, and adhering to road transport regulations and safety protocols are key aspects of this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence: A valid driver's licence is required to operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently.
* Minimum 2 years' experience operating agitator or concrete mixer trucks: Prior experience operating agitator or concrete mixer trucks is essential to ensure the driver has the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the job effectively.
* Knowledge of safe loading and unloading procedures for concrete and bulk materials: Understanding safe loading and unloading procedures is crucial to prevent accidents and ensure the safe transportation of materials.
* Strong vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting skills: The ability to maintain and troubleshoot vehicles is essential to minimize downtime and ensure the smooth operation of the fleet.
* Excellent time management and organisational abilities: Good time management and organisational skills are required to meet deadlines and deliver results efficiently.
