We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Technician to join our team in Burnie, Tasmania.
The role involves disassembling, inspecting and repairing hydraulic cylinders, small pumps, hydraulic motors, valves and drive components. Key responsibilities include:
1. Setting up and using a cylinder bench and other tooling to disassemble, inspect & re-assemble hydraulic cylinders with new parts.
2. Monitoring stock levels of consumables to inform future works.
3. Maintaining machinery and equipment and recording maintenance within our systems.
4. Contributing to daily meetings and discussions.
5. Completing necessary documentation and reports relating to works completed.
6. Ensuring all tooling is in good condition and fit for the task performed.
To be successful in this role you will require:
1. Experience in heavy earthmoving or automotive workshop environments.
2. Welding capability.
3. Attention to detail.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Hydraulic cylinder repair and small component rebuild experience (desired but not essential).
6. A current forklift license (desired but not essential).
