Your Opportunity
As the
Induction Officer
you will market the delivery of training products and services to meet regional objectives for quality outcomes and profitability. You will continue to contribute to an enhanced system of vocational education and training through the provision of a comprehensive range of adminstrative services to maximise regional performance in commercial sales.
You will also promote the Traineeship and Apprenticeship markets on behalf of the region.
This position reports to the Manager, Apprentice & Trainee Services.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity.
The position will be based primarily at our Nambour campus, however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Showing Initiative, Focussing on our Customer and Taking Responsibility.
* Work within a team environment dealing with a diverse range of training products and services including developing and negotiating solutions to meet customer requirements.
* Maintain effective professional networks and be the single point of contact for clients working across schools, partners, contractors and Vocational Education and Training (VET) Support Services.
* Manage the contract induction process by liaising with employers and apprentices in relation to their roles and responsibilities under the User Choice Contract, negotiating training plans, assessing learning needs and completing employer resource assessments.
* Interpret and apply legislative and policy requirements and provide advice to a range of clients in relation to commercial sales enquiries.
* Utilise software programs relevant to client and market development, e.g. databases and websites, and Microsoft Office.
* Conduct preliminary training needs analysis and contribute to the preparation of specifications and proposals for the provision of training products and services to maximise market share.
* Facilitate the achievement of learning outcomes through the provision of training programs, products and services both on and off-the-job in accordance with contractual obligations.
* Work autonomously and contribute to team commercial targets to effectively achieve goals in a workplace with competing priorities.
* Undertake research and development on matters relating to business functions.
* Ensure day to day activities align with business operations.
* Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices by encouraging an environment where high quality work is achieved and is supported by the development and adherence to quality systems.
How You Will Be Assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
* Well-developed written and oral communication skills including consultation, negotiation and liaison skills to facilitate effective client service.
* Ability to conduct preliminary training needs analysis and training proposal preparation taking into account legislative, contractual, training package and policy specifications.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective professional networks.
* Ability to be self-directed as well as participate within a team environment.
* Display the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
* Current Queensland Driver's Licence (driving between sites daily is a requirement for this role).
