About The Role
Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare.
The Acute Care Service Model Of Care Provides
- Mental Health assessments to people experiencing acute mental health problems and determining an appropriate pathway to care
- Short term intensive treatment in the community often as an alternative to hospital
- In reach to hospital to promote effective follow up post mental health admission
- Gatekeeping- developing opportunities for assessment and community treatment at key points
- The model provides short term treatment after assessment up until the acute symptoms are resolved or the consumer is effectively transferred and engaged with an appropriate treatment provider.
Ideal Candidate
- Recognised tertiary qualifications appropriate to profession. Full registration and eligibility for membership to professional association, as appropriate.
- Demonstrated competencies to provide contemporary mental health practice.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable)
