Clinical Psychologist - Child and Family Psychology Role
As a clinical psychologist, you will work with individuals experiencing complex mental health challenges. Your expertise in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment will enable you to provide high-quality care.
This role offers an opportunity to contribute to clinical outcome evaluations, education, and training programs while supervising psychologists and other health professionals within the LHD.
We specialize in child and family health, offering expert support in developmental assessments, early intervention, and family-centered therapeutic approaches.
You will be responsible for delivering specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions, and consultation to address consumer needs.
The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes and assists in the development and provision of education and training programs.
A key aspect of this role is supervision, where you will work with Psychologists and other disciplines to ensure high-quality patient/consumer-focused care.
To be successful in this position, you must have demonstrated competence in various psychological assessments and evidence-based treatments delivered individually or in groups.
Your experience working independently in providing patient/consumer-focused care is essential.
Additionally, you should possess knowledge of the quality improvement process for service development, implementation, and evaluation.
Effective communication skills are vital, as you will need to adapt your style to suit different audiences.
A valid Australian driver's license is required; those holding a C-class license from another state must obtain a NSW equivalent within three months.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions, and consultation
* Participate in the evaluation of clinical outcomes
* Assist in the development and provision of education and training programs
* Supervise Psychologists and other disciplines
About You:
* Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia
* Demonstrated competence in various psychological assessments and evidence-based treatments
* Experience working independently in providing patient/consumer-focused care
* Possession of a valid Australian driver's license
