Overview
We are seeking a Visiting Medical Officer in Diagnostic Radiology to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in the Sydney Local Health District (SLHD). The primary purpose of the role is to provide high‑quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Diagnostic Radiology and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Radiology Department and Hospital as required.
Responsibilities
* Provide diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Diagnostic Radiology.
* Participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Radiology Department and Hospital.
* May be involved in subspecialty Radiology (abdomen, cardiac, neurological, musculoskeletal, breast and/or Tier A Interventional Radiology) depending on training and experience.
* Ensure a high standard of professional performance and encourage an academic environment that supports education, research and professional development.
Qualifications
* Medical practitioner, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) with recognised qualifications in Radiology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.
* Applicants expected to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from the beginning of the 2026 Clinical Year on 2 February 2026 may be considered.
