Job Overview

As a Trauma Service Registrar, you will play a vital role in attending all Level 1 and 2 trauma call-outs, contributing to trauma assessment and patient care.
\
Responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, gathering pre-hospital data, and recording information for the National Trauma Registry. You will perform primary, secondary, and tertiary surveys on trauma patients, demonstrating expertise in trauma skills such as tube thoracostomies, splinting fractures, and wound washouts.
\
In addition to clinical duties, you will engage in educational opportunities by presenting Level 1 trauma cases during weekly audits and attending teaching sessions led by Trauma consultants and fellows.
\
The role includes clinical supervision, with guidance from Emergency Department Consultants, Trauma Fellows, and Trauma Surgical Consultants in assessing and managing patients.
\

Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled medical professional with relevant qualifications and experience. To be successful in this role, you must have:

* Relevant qualifications and experience in trauma care, particularly at a Senior RMO or Registrar level
\
* Strong clinical skills in trauma care, with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively
\
* Proven experience in supervising medical staff and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students
\
* A comprehensive understanding of trauma management, quality improvement, and a commitment to patient rights and responsibilities
