**Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Planning Lead Role**
We are seeking an experienced Aboriginal Cultural Heritage planning specialist to lead our team in developing and implementing effective strategies for managing cultural heritage within Wyndham. This role involves working closely with First Peoples communities, Traditional Owners, and other stakeholders to build strong relationships and deliver positive outcomes.
* Liaise with Registered Aboriginal Parties and community groups to develop and implement culturally sensitive management plans;
* Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies;
* Develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders to advance the interests of Aboriginal cultural heritage;
* Provide expert advice on cultural heritage management issues to inform policy and decision-making;
* Foster a culture of inclusion and respect within our organization by promoting awareness and understanding of Aboriginal cultural heritage.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Tertiary qualifications in cultural heritage management, archaeology, urban planning, or a related field;
* Substantial experience working with First Peoples communities and Traditional Owners, including Registered Aboriginal Parties;
* Demonstrated expertise in policy and strategy development, particularly in the context of Aboriginal cultural heritage management;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders;
* A deep understanding of the complexities surrounding Aboriginal cultural heritage, including existing policies and emerging issues.
