Full-time, 12-month Parental leave backfill position, commencing 1st July 2025 (40 hours per week, with Accrued Day Off)
Salary Package - $101k - $123k (Depending on Discipline) + Superannuation

About our team
Alfred Infant Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service provides accessible mental health services for infants, children, young people, and their families/carers. Our multidisciplinary, intensive care service incorporates family peer specialists and youth peer workers, divided into two streams: 0-11 and 12-26 years. We specialize in perinatal care, neurodevelopmental presentations, eating disorders, and outreach support.

What you’ll be doing
Manage referrals with a compassionate, timely response, collaborating with children, young people, families, and support networks.
Conduct intake assessments, including triage and crisis responses, to allocate referrals effectively and support streamlined pathways.
Provide single-session primary consultations and brief interventions based on Dialogical Practices.
Engage in secondary consultations with external services, fostering partnerships and collaborative work.
About you
Essential:
Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and eligibility for AHPRA membership.
Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience.
Desirable:
Developmental Psychiatry Course or equivalent.
Experience in child and youth mental health services.
Additional skills & knowledge
Commitment to ongoing professional development, especially in child, adolescent, and young adult mental health.
Interest or experience in mental health research.
