Handyperson Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Handyperson to join our Maintenance team.
* Respond promptly to requests for assistance or repairs.
* Complete tasks from the maintenance checklist, work request system, and verbal instructions.
* Log and report all defects, repairs, and actions taken accurately.
* Ensure public areas and equipment are safe, clean, and fully operational.
* Liaise with tradespeople for complex repairs.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with WH&S guidelines.
* Support other departments with maintenance-related needs.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. They will also be physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g. carpentry, electrical, plumbing).
* Experience in a similar role within a hotel or hospitality setting.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think on feet.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
