We are seeking a Principal Process Safety Advisor to join us on a 12-month Max Term contract.
This is a new contract role for us to implement and embed a Process Safety Framework and verifications across our organisation.

In this role youll play a vital part in implementing and managing our process safety systems ensuring compliance efficiency and seamless collaboration across teams You will also :
Develop implement and maintain Pacific Energy Process Safety Management framework.
Provide expert guidance on critical control verification
Lead and oversee Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs) Layer of Protection analysis Bowtie Analysis Failure Modes Effects Analysis and other risk assessments to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities.
Oversee major hazard identification and ensure compliance.
Document process safety risks update the risk register and implement mitigation strategies.
Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify improvements
Lead and investigate process safety incidents determine root causes and apply corrective actions.
Analyse trends and leading indicators to drive continuous improvement
Deliver process safety training programs for leadership engineering and operational teams.
Be part of the solution
Degree in Chemical Process or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Extensive experience in process safety management across mining oil & gas chemicals or heavy industry.
Strong expertise in PSM frameworks risk assessment methodologies and barrier management principles.
Proven ability to lead HAZOP LOPA Bowtie Analysis and safety case development.
Skilled at engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
Experienced in incident investigation auditing and safety performance reporting.
Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
