About The Role
As a Commis Chef in the Misono Kitchen, you will support the Head Chef and a dynamic kitchen team in preparing high quality dishes for luxury guests. You will be recruited as an experienced and dedicated professional ready to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Critical Responsibilities
* Communicate assistance needed during busy periods to the Chef to ensure optimal service
* Check and ensure correct temperature of appliances and food
* Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
* Monitor food quantity and portion sizes
* Prepare ingredients—portioning, chopping, storing
* Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
* Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
* Prepare and cook food
* Set‑up, clean and break down workstation
* Apply sushi‑making skills and techniques in the Sushi Bar
* Set to order guest requests as per menu
* Organize interactive sushi class for kids
Successful Candidates Will Have
* Previous experience in a similar environment
* Strong food safety knowledge
* Great communication skills
* Ability to work in a team and autonomously
* Passion for food and desire to grow culinary career
