To support our operations, we maintain a growing fleet of commercial vehicles, UTEs, and heavy-duty machinery, which requires the expertise of qualified mechanics. We also own Avios Services, a specialised car detailing subsidiary in Melbourne.
We are currently expanding our team by seeking a full-time Automotive Technician to ensure our fleet remains safe, efficient, and operational through expert diagnosis, repairs, and servicing. As an integral part of our team, the ideal candidate will need to be result-oriented and have excellent time and task management skills, enabling them to hit the ground running.
Key responsibilities
* Diagnoses faults in engines, drivetrains, electrical systems, and related mechanical components.
* Dismantles and removes engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components for inspection and repair.
* Repairs and replaces worn or defective parts, and reassembles mechanical components according to manufacturer specifications and service manuals.
* Performs scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups to ensure optimal performance and compliance with emission regulations.
* Tests and adjusts mechanical parts after repairs using diagnostic tools and computer-assisted systems to verify proper operation and performance.
* Conducts comprehensive inspections to assess vehicle condition and provide detailed reports of required repairs.
* Ensures all work is carried out in accordance with safety standards, manufacturer procedures, and environmental regulations.
Skills Required
Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar role.
Certificate IV or Diploma in Automotive Technology
Quick learner and effective problem solver
Ability to multitask, plan, and execute effectively
Exceptional organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while thriving in a collaborative team environment
Have excellent interpersonal skills
