Culinary Specialist Role
Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional food quality, while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained.
Job Description:
The Culinary Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operation, including menu planning, food preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and inspire the kitchen team to achieve high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of the kitchen section, including training, leading and inspiring the Kitchen team to ensure a highly-skilled, well-organised and motivated team.
* Ensure food safety standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are established, monitored and maintained to meet current Food Concept guidelines
* Delivery of food is executed in a timely manner
* Undertake ordering of stock for all kitchen areas needs, ensuring orders across sections are condensed to reduce excessive stock, and par stock levels are maintained
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* At least 1-2 years experience as a Cook/Chef in a residential aged care setting
* Hold and maintain NDIS Workers Check (or willing to obtain)
* Completed Food Safety Supervisor Course
* Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & interpersonal)
