Mental health specialist

Job Title: Senior Medical Practitioner - Psychiatry



Overview:



This role is for a Senior Medical Practitioner (SMP) in the Psychiatry department at Fiona Stanley Hospital. The successful candidate will provide mental health assessment, treatment, and management to clients with mental health illness, as well as providing service to their families and carers. They will work closely with other agencies to promote close community partnerships.


Key Responsibilities:



* Provide high-quality clinical care to clients with mental health illness
* Develop and implement treatment plans that meet individual client needs
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes for clients
* Provide education and training to junior doctors and other health workers



Requirements:



* Registration as a medical practitioner in Australia
* Completion of psychiatry training or equivalent experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Other Information:



* Working hours: Monday to Friday 3:00pm to 11:00pm, weekends 8:00pm to 4:00pm
* Share workload with another SMP and Registrar
