Estimator
Design and Build has partnered with an established and reputable Tier 2 commercial builder, seeking an experienced Estimator to join their Brisbane team.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of commercial and industrial, new build an fit out projects with a strong pipeline of upcoming tenders.
You will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, ensuring tenders are submitted with precision and confidence.
You'll collaborate closely with internal teams and trusted subcontractors to deliver well-considered pricing solutions that balance cost, quality, and value.
This is a super exciting time to join their business with so much work in the pipeline, it is a standalone role with a view to grow the team further.
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for tenders and proposals.
Review drawings, specifications and project documents to determine scope and resources required.
Assess subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
Coordinate tender submissions and support bid strategy discussions.
Identify cost risks and value engineering opportunities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates, materials, and construction trends.
Collaborate with commercial and delivery teams to align project goals with cost plans.
Qualifications
Have at least five years post graduate experience as an Estimator
Have experience as an Estimator within the commercial space
Have experience of construction projects valued up to at least $5mil
Have strong cost management skills
Be confident liaising with architects, engineers and other consultants
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage a program to time and budget
Effective communicator
The successful candidate will be rewarded with great salary depending on experience.
