We now have a permanent full‑time role for a senior journalist based in our Sydney newsroom.

As part of the global Paramount family, Network 10 also delivers a diverse range of shows on our free‑to‑air channels: 10, 10 Drama, 10 Comedy and Nickelodeon, as well as our subscription video on demand service, Paramount+.
This isn't just another reporting role. It's a chance to be at the forefront of a news brand across a powerful multi‑platform network. As part of a dynamic, fast‑moving team, you'll chase leads, uncover facts, and produce compelling, high‑impact television news stories that shape the national conversation.
Responsibilities
* Pitch, research, and produce original, high‑quality news stories for broadcast.
* Work under tight deadlines to deliver clear, accurate, and engaging TV news content.
* Report live with confidence on breaking news events.
* Take the lead on complex news stories, from concept to broadcast, with minimal supervision.
* Proactively source and line up stories, ensuring comprehensive and dynamic coverage.
* Cover other newsroom roles as required.
Qualifications
* Strong news judgment and a deep understanding of the TV news landscape.
* Exceptional communication skills—both on‑air and behind the scenes.
* Ability to work under pressure and make quick, accurate editorial decisions.
* Proven track record in television news reporting.
* In‑depth knowledge of local, national, and international current affairs.
* Proficiency in non‑linear editing systems, with experience in TV news production.
* Flexibility to work across different shifts, including weekends, to meet newsroom demands.
* Strong grasp of media law and its application in news reporting.
