Overview
The Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre (MVSC) is a multi-disciplinary specialist veterinary centre providing services from three locations to veterinary practices within Melbourne. The dermatology department is seeking a veterinary nurse to provide high quality patient care and assist the specialist veterinarians in various tasks. The veterinary dermatology nurse will also communicate closely with clients, providing outstanding customer service and assist the dermatologist in various specialist consultations and procedures throughout the day.
Role and terms
Dermatology Veterinary Nurse. Immediate start. Full time or part time position on a 12-month contract (with the possibility of permanent employment). No weekend rosters, 4 day working week for FT or negotiable PT. Working at our Glen Waverley and/or Essendon Fields locations. There is a requirement to work at our Glen Waverley and Essendon Fields locations but there may be some degree of flexibility dependent on candidates' locations.
Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent appropriate tertiary qualification is preferred
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in general practice required
Responsibilities
* Intradermal testing for allergies
* Assisting with ear flushes, biopsies, laser surgery, MRI, hearing tests
* Assisting with consultations and discharges
* Client phone calls, emails and follow up
