Are you passionate about making a positive difference for families and children experiencing vulnerability? We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Services Case Manager to join a dedicated team providing early intervention support across the Blacktown and Penrith areas.
About the Role:
As a Family Services Case Manager, you will deliver targeted support to families and young people at risk, helping them build resilience and strengthen their safety and wellbeing. This position offers the opportunity to work within a values-driven environment with a focus on case management, advocacy, group facilitation, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strengths-based case management services to at-risk families and children.
- Develop and implement family support plans in collaboration with external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate, timely case notes and reporting in line with program standards.
- Support the facilitation of group programs and community activities.
- Participate in supervision, team meetings, and professional development.
- Ensure practices align with child protection legislation and child safe standards.
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Social Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable families, children, or young people.
- Strong knowledge of child protection frameworks and child safe standards.
- Excellent conflict resolution, mediation, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong administrative and IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Current Working with Children Check
- Drivers license
- Access to own transport - highly desirable, not essential
- Willingness to travel locally for client work and training.
