IT Security Melbourne Contract Strong communcation skills Expereince with Threat Locker Implementation Experience in a fast pace environment We are seeking a versatile Consultant for a 12-month contract within a leading engineering organisation.
This dual-role position combines technical oversight of a ThreatLocker implementation with project support across a large end-user compute unification program.
The ideal candidate will be technically capable, strong in governance and reporting, and confident managing vendors and stakeholders across a complex environment.
Location: Melbourne or Canberra Duration: 6 months Day rate: CIRCA $**** Start date: End of December/Early January Role Part 1: ThreatLocker Implementation Consultant You will lead and manage the implementation of ThreatLocker across the organisation, working closely with the vendor to ensure a smooth and effective deployment.
This part of the position requires a strong understanding of application control technologies, governance oversight, and the ability to drive outcomes within a structured framework.
Key responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end ThreatLocker implementation in collaboration with the vendor Oversee deployment and configuration activities Ensure strong governance, documentation, and reporting throughout the rollout Support organisational readiness and adoption activities Provide insight and guidance on application control best practices Leverage experience with similar tools such as Airlock (highly desirable) Skills and experience: Hands-on experience with ThreatLocker (essential) Strong understanding of application control frameworks Ability to drive governance outcomes and produce high-quality reporting Strong technical aptitude and ability to collaborate with vendors and internal teams Role Part 2: Project Unification - End-User Compute Support The second portion of this role supports a major unification program within the Social Infrastructure team.
This work focuses on end-user compute migrations and the rollout of new devices across the organisation.
While not a pure security role, an awareness of security considerations is important.
Key responsibilities: Support end-user compute migrations as part of a broader project unification initiative Coordinate rollout of new devices across the business Manage vendors to ensure delivery outcomes and timelines are met Maintain strong governance practices, documentation, and reporting Engage effectively with stakeholders across a diverse environment Skills and experience: Experience supporting EUC migration or device rollout projects Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Solid vendor management capability Strong governance, documentation, and reporting discipline Security awareness or background beneficial but not essential Whilst this is a 6 month contract they are aiming to run the contract until ****.
