We’re looking for a Senior Workplace Relations & Safety Lawyer to join a growing mid-tier team in Brisbane. This is a newly created role, offering the chance to contribute directly to matters from day one and build strong client relationships.
You’ll be working closely with a highly experienced senior lawyer whose background spans both in‑house and private practice, advising across complex workplace relations and safety matters. The team provides strategic guidance and representation on matters including disputes, investigations, policy initiatives, whistleblower complaints, contracts, bargaining, and disciplinary processes. You’ll gain exposure to both public and private sector clients while helping deliver practical, commercially‑focused solutions.
This role offers exposure to:
Employment and workplace safety law – both advisory and disputes
High‑level investigations and complex regulatory matters
Strategic projects, enterprise agreements, and organisational change initiatives
Direct client engagement and relationship building
Mentoring and supporting junior team members
Leading matters and taking ownership from the outset
What we’re looking for: Minimum 5 years post‑admission experience in both contentious and non‑contentious employment matters
Broader litigation experience highly regarded
Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Collaborative, solutions‑focused approach
Enthusiasm for contributing to a growing, high‑performing team
