Operations Foreman – Non-Harvest Export/Import Period
The Operations Foreman is responsible for Kununurra-based fertiliser coordination and delivery, yard logistics on a day-to-day basis, grain seed dispatches, and bunker management. The role reports directly to the Operations Manager, with daily communication required to ensure the effective delivery of business needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate the mixing, loading, and delivery of granular and liquid fertilisers, ensuring resources are correctly allocated and demand peaks are effectively managed.
* Monitor fertiliser stocks, anticipate shortages, oversee storage, maintain accurate mix/load records, and coordinate stocktakes.
* Ensure operational safety, identify non-compliance, and guide staff to maintain adherence to ORDCO OH&S standards.
* Plan and allocate daily tasks for the operations team, monitor performance, and provide on-the-job training, including for casual staff.
* Manage the dispatch of graded seed crops, coordinating trucking, bagging, compliance, and communication with buyers and end users.
* Oversee bunker operations, including monitoring equipment, emptying bunkers, coordinating fumigation, and maintaining site cleanliness.
* Supervise pest control activities, participate in stocktakes and inventory management, and engage professionally with customers and suppliers.
* Perform other operational tasks as needed to ensure efficient site and business performance.
