Data Scientist/Data Migration Specialist

The Data Scientist/Data Migration Specialist will work on a range of complex projects, transformations, data migrations and other programs, utilising a variety of technologies including Oracle, Microsoft Power Platform, Virtual Desktop infrastructure, and Cloud technology among others.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and implement data migration plans, strategies, and procedures, considering the specific needs of the project and the involved systems
Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) - utilising ETL tools and scripting languages like SQL to extract data from source systems, transforming it to fit the target system's format, and loading it into the destination
Data Mapping and Reconciliation - Identifying, mapping, and reconciling data fields between source and target systems, ensuring accurate data transfer and data integrity
Implementing data validation and testing procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the migrated data, including data profiling and reconciliation
Documenting data migration processes, procedures, and configurations for future reference and maintenance
