Primary objective
Supervise the day to day system administration of the Health Procurement System ensure the system is operational and functioning in
accordance with the requirements of NT Health. Provide advice and reporting to stakeholders on issues pertaining to the system whilst
liaising with the System vendor, interface middleware provider and DCDD Financial System during the resolution of issues and updates.
Undertake the co-ordination and facilitation of testing on all upgrades and fixes within the Health Procurement System.
Context statement
The Health Procurement System is unique to the Department of Health NT for the provision of consumables to Central Australia and
Barkly Regions with the proposed rollout across Top End, Big Rivers and East Arnhem.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Manage the Health Procurement System for the Department ensuring the delivery of an up to date and efficient End to End Supply
Chain System, including the supervision to the Health Procurement team and assisting with recruitment; probation; and performance
management.
1. Train, coach, and mentor staff in the procedures and processes of the Supply Chain function in relation to the Health Procurement
System.
1. Liaise with and co-ordinate with the System Vendor, Middleware provider and Department of Corporate and Digital Development
(DCDD) Financial Systems in relation to interface requirements.
1. Provide input into all policies, procedures, and other corporate documentation in relation to the management of the Health
Procurement System and the catalogue framework.
1. Provide specialist advice and services to Procurement and Inventory Warehouse staff and NT Health management in relation to data
attributes and requirements within the system including creation of reports and dash boards through Business Intelligence.
1. Ensure that the Manager System Administration is kept informed of any issues arising with in the Health Procurement System
2. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in
order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. Extensive knowledge and experience in electronic supply chain management policies, practices and standards and sound knowledge
of cataloguing principles and practices including the use of Electronic Data Transfer (Extract, Transform and Load - ETL) and Business
Intelligence Reporting.
1. Demonstrated high level of customer service and the ability to provide effective stakeholder consultations and negotiations that
achieve improved outcomes.
1. Demonstrated high level of knowledge of data modelling and data visualisation tools including the ability to create dashboards and
reports through Business Intelligence.
1. Well-developed research and analytical skills and the ability to investigate and resolve issues, identify trends. and develop
recommendations.
1. A knowledge and understanding of computer applications, including mainframe, cloud based systems, and general office related
applications.
