Job Duties
* Leading the coordination and prioritisation of workforce, plant, equipment and material resources across multiple simultaneous plumbing construction projects throughout Victoria, ensuring optimal allocation resources to meet project milestones and contractual obligations.
* Assessing and interpreting hydraulic engineering drawings, civil and architectural specifications, and technical documentation to determine construction methodology, sequencing of works, and plumbing installation requirements across commercial, institutional, and civil construction projects.
* Coordinating the procurement and timely delivery of materials, civil drainage products, fire system components, and specialised equipment to multiple active construction sites, managing supplier relationships and maintaining cost-effective supply chains aligned with project budgets and programmes.
* Consulting and maintaining professional working relationships with architects, hydraulic engineers, civil engineers, head contractors, and other construction professionals throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the construction scope is delivered in alignment with overall project design intent and programme.
* Managing and monitoring overall project time, cost, quality, budget, and risk across all construction contracts, preparing progress reports, identifying risks of budget deviation or programme delay, and determining corrective courses of action to mitigate these risks.
* Negotiating with head contractors, building owners, property developers, local authorities, and project stakeholders throughout the construction process to ensure project scopes are clearly defined, variations are properly managed, and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Developing and preparing tender submissions and contract bids for new construction projects, assessing project specifications and drawings, preparing accurate cost estimates, and determining resource requirements to produce competitive and commercially sound tender responses.
* Managing and monitoring adherence to the Building Act, Plumbing Regulations, WorkSafe Victoria requirements, and relevant Australian Standards across all construction projects, ensuring the company's licensed plumbers maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance, and workmanship on every site.
* Managing the submission of hydraulic plans, civil drainage designs, and relevant documentation to local councils and regulatory authorities, and liaising with building surveyors, plumbing inspectors, and certifiers to coordinate required inspections at critical stages throughout the construction programme.
* Leading and managing the company's construction workforce including site supervisors, leading hands, licensed plumbers, and labour hire personnel, overseeing performance standards, subcontractor engagement, and the overall progress and delivery of construction project requirements across all active sites.
* Managing project changes, scope variations, and programme adjustments arising throughout the construction process, implementing revised work plans and communicating changes effectively to site teams, head contractors, and relevant stakeholders to ensure continuity of project delivery.
* Establishing and managing detailed project plans, construction programmes, and resource schedules for each construction project, ensuring alignment with head contractor programmes, client expectations, and the company's strategic goals for growth and delivery.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required
* Bachelor's degree in relevant field
* Minimum one year of relevant industry experience in construction project coordination or management
* Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and project deadlines efficiently
