Key Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to individuals with complex needs. This includes managing participants who require support with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
You will also need to manage behaviours of concern and provide emotional support to our participants. Your role will involve working in a team environment to ensure that our participants receive the best possible care and support.
We are seeking experienced disability support workers who have a Certificate III/IV in Individual Support or equivalent qualification. You will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex care plans, including medication administration and manual handling. They will also need to possess a current driver's license and be willing to undergo a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening check and Working with Children Check.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate III/IV in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
* First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling, and Medication Administration training
* Current Driver's License
* National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening check
* Working with Children Check
Mental health training, specifically in complex mental health with diagnoses of depression, suicidal tendency, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and body dysmorphic disorder is desirable.
