We are seeking a highly skilled and trade qualified Field Service Technician to join our team in Port Headland, WA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, fault-finding, and breakdown requests on a 12 - 9 roster with flexible additional hours available. Flights, accommodation, and vehicle will be provided on shift, along with flight transfers from all capitals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to external service and breakdown requests in a timely and efficient manner.
* Install and commission large fluid power installations and hydraulic projects to meet customer requirements.
* Develop proactive responses to faults, maintenance, or modernisation topics by studying system requirements and identifying potential issues.
* Fault-find and diagnose hydraulic system issues, producing detailed reports and analysis.
* Test and identify further repairs for hydraulic systems, recommending spare parts opportunities as needed.
* Maintain customer confidentiality and prepare service quotations, following up with customers as required.
* Upload relevant documentation, including vendor quotations, delivery dockets, service quotations, and service reports.
* Ensure quality control through documentation of tests and installations, supplying customer documentation as necessary.
* Conduct on-site inspections, repairs, installations, and testing of hydraulic components and associated equipment.
Requirements:
* Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen.
* Hydraulic / mechanical fitter trade or equivalent qualification.
* At least 5 years field service or hydraulic system experience.
* Competent level of hydraulic knowledge and high focus on quality and attention to detail.
* Dynamic performer and achiever with strong planning and organisational skills.
* Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
