We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Secretary/ Receptionist to join our specialist cardiology group. We are a very busy specialist practice with a young innovative medical team with a focus on providing exceptional care for our patients.
This position on offer is full-time at Spring Hill with the flexibility to travel to Greenslopes or North Lakes if required.
We are looking for a team player who, can demonstrate a high level of professionalism, efficiency and reliability. The successful candidate needs to demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills, high level of communication and interpersonal skills and exercise a high attention to detail. We seek a fast learner who has great retention of information and strong computer skills. The work is interesting and busy. As a valued member of our practice, you will have a warm and caring nature.
Criteria:
* This role requires previous Medical Secretary/Receptionist experience.
* Exceptional customer service skills and telephone manner.
* Ability to maintain a calm and cheerful disposition in a busy environment whilst managing various responsibilities and deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrate a high level of computer literacy
* Strong time management and organisational skills with a strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with a proven record to follow directions closely and accurately.
* A commitment to teamwork, honesty, and integrity.
* Experience with specialist medical software.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* General reception duties including answering the telephone in a professional manner.
* Respond to emails.
* Scanning and electronic filing of correspondence.
* Organising and management of patient appointments and clinics.
* Patient invoicing and receipting of consultations.
* Collect and process incoming mail.
* Other general office duties.
* You will be assisting with the scheduling of complex patient appointments, triaging referrals, requiring fastidious attention to detail.
* Answering a high volume of incoming phone calls in a professional manner.

* You will receive collegiate support and training from existing senior staff who have expert knowledge of the requirements of the role.

* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Reliability and flexibility as dictated by the specialists' requirements.
* Experience using Health Track practice software a distinct advantage
* Excellent people skills and the ability to relate to all patients and third parties in a professional, supportive and efficient manner.
* Excellent written, verbal and phone skills.
* A calm and measured manner, with the ability to adapt as circumstances require.
