FUEL STOP DINER PTY LTD, trading as Rise The Bakehouse, began a new chapter under fresh ownership in November 2025. Rise The Bakehouse is a long-standing favourite in Biloela, known for its handcrafted breads, pastries, and baked goods. The venue has built a strong reputation through consistent quality, early-morning production, and a community-focused customer experience.
With the transition to new owners, the business is expanding production capacity and strengthening its baking team to meet ongoing demand. We are now seeking multiple full-time Bakers to join our team in Biloela, QLD.
These roles offer a full-time annual salary of AUD 75–80K, depending on experience and capability.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, mix, and bake breads, pastries, artisan loaves, and specialty baked goods in line with recipes and production schedules.
* Check the quality of ingredients and maintain accurate stock levels for flour, perishables, and baking supplies.
* Operate and maintain commercial baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, proofers, and related machinery.
* Adjust temperatures, fermentation processes, and production settings to ensure consistent product quality.
* Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards across all stages of production.
* Monitor dough development, proofing, and baking times to meet both quality and volume requirements.
* Assist in planning daily production volumes, product ranges, and seasonal offerings.
* Decorate and finish baked goods where required
* Maintain accurate records of ingredient usage, batch production, wastage, and quality checks
* Work collaboratively with the broader bakery and retail team to ensure smooth daily operations
Skills and Experience Required
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Baker or in a similar commercial bakery role
* Strong technical skills in dough handling, fermentation, and oven management
* Ability to work early-morning shifts and meet production targets
* Strong time-management and organisational skills
* A team-focused approach and commitment to consistent quality
