We are looking for a detail-oriented Test Analyst to ensure quality, performance and reliability of our technology products. You will work closely with developers, designers and product to validate functionality, identify bugs and help deliver seamless user experience. This role is hands-on, requires strong analytical thinking, and an ability to understand code to trace and diagnose issues effectively.
About MberX
MberX is a sports and rewards platform built for AFL and NRL fans around Australia. There are three key pillars to the app, which include footy tipping, sports media and analytics, and rewards. We're launching in Jan 2026 and will be continuously adding features to the app moving forward.
This role would ideally suit someone based in Melbourne. We work in the office 4 days a week but are flexible.
Being a footy fan is a bonus.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing test cases and scripts, ensuring alignment with predetermined criteria.
* Execute manual functional, UI/UX, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
* Analysing and reporting on test activities and results to stakeholders.
* Collaborating with senior team members to determine corrective actions that reduce errors and enhance system quality.
* Create, upload, and manage test data to support different test scenarios.
* Validate end-to-end user flows and ensure consistent performance and visual alignment.
* Suggest improvements to QA processes, tools, and documentation.
Required Skills and Experience
* 3+ years of experience as a Test analyst or a similar role
* Proven experience in planning, designing, and manually executing test plans and cases, for both functional and non-functional testing.
* Experience testing iOS and Android apps (simulators + real devices).
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot UI/UX inconsistencies.
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Automated test experience would be advantageous but not essential.
Nice to Have
* Experience with basic automation (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Appium) is a plus but not required.
* Knowledge of accessibility testing.
* Prior exposure to analytics/debugging tools (e.g., Firebase, Sentry).
