Port Stephens Compliance Team are looking for an enthusiastic and customer focused individual to offer high level support to our Compliance Team until January 2027 on a full time basis. Our Compliance Support Officers are key to the day-to-day running of our wider team, being the first point of contact for customer requests.

As a Compliance Support Officer you will be responsible for triaging, reviewing, and responding to matters regarding Environmental Health, Rangers and Compliance operations, as well as play a key role when it comes to receiving, coordinating, and assisting with the assessment and approval of applications in accordance with relevant legislative requirements.

Please Note: For the purpose of recruitment, the title of Administration Officer - Compliance has been used to reflect the equivalent industry title. Internally the official title of this position is Compliance Support Officer.

The opportunity

This is a temporary opportunity – working full-time 35 hours per week + access to a flexible working arrangement until January 2027.

* Base Salary Range: $67,627 - $74,612 pa based on 35 hours per week + 12% superannuation + retention allowance
* You will be working from PSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace
Key responsibilities
* Coordinate and process customer requests and enquiries, ensuring timely and professional service.
* Manage correspondence, records and databases to keep workflows accurate and efficient.
* Support the Compliance Coordinator and Team Leaders with reports, documentation and day-to-day operations.

* Tertiary qualification/studying in a relevant field and/or relevant experience
* Demonstrated experience in using the Microsoft suite of products at an advanced level
* Experience in working in a professional office environment
* Ability to work as a team in a high-volume work area
* High level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively
