Retravision Stadium is a state-of-the-art sporting and function facility situated at the heart of Albany's unique social landscape, providing a hub for a variety of community, sporting and social events.
The stadium features a 500-seated grandstand, 400-person capacity multi-use function space with bar facilities, 100-person grandstand bar and full commercial-grade kitchen.
We are seeking a hands-on events manager with marketing experience to be responsible for the overall management of the function centre and stakeholder engagement with the two home football clubs and other community sponsors.
The duties of the role include:
Bar Operations
· Manage ordering, receiving, and rotation of bar stock to always ensure adequate supply.
· Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stocktakes.
· Oversee bar presentation, cleanliness, and compliance with liquor licensing requirements.
· Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth service during events, football fixtures, and functions.
· Monitor bar equipment and coordinate repairs or arrange replacements when required.
· Hands on operational service of all events and responsible management of alcohol sales.
Function Room Set-Up & Event Support
· Plan, coordinate, and deliver a variety of events, community functions, private bookings, and sporting club events.
· Set up function rooms according to booking requirements (tables, chairs, AV equipment).
· Liaise with the Event Manager to ensure room layouts meet the client's needs.
· Oversee on-the-day event operations, providing hands on management, including room set-up, bar service, food service, audio-visual arrangements, supplier coordination, and attendee experience.
· Advise the Event Manager of any additional event day client requirements and ensure accurate billing of these items to client.
· Pack down and reset rooms after events to maintain cleanliness and readiness for the next booking.
Facilities & Maintenance Management
· Schedule and supervise routine facility maintenance (carpet cleaning, window cleaning, waste management, pest control, electrical checks).
· Identify and respond to general repair needs across the venue, coordinating contractors where required.
· Monitor building safety and compliance, including emergency exits, signage, and first-aid equipment.
· Maintain venue presentation standards.
· Keep maintenance logs, contractor contacts, and service records up to date.
· Liaise with the City of Albany leasing and maintenance departments.
· Ensure compliance with venue policies, licensing, and safety requirements during events.
· Support venue development projects, improvements, and promotional opportunities.
Sponsorship & Community Engagement
· Build strong relationships with local clubs, community groups, and stakeholders to encourage venue use and community participation.
· Support and grow community-driven programs and initiatives held at the venue.
· Secure new sponsorships and maintaining strong relationships with existing partners.
· Coordinate sponsor signage, logos, and advertising placements throughout the venue and during events.
· Ensure sponsors banners are in good condition throughout the year.
· Communicate regularly with sponsors about opportunities, promotions, and renewals. Support community and club activities that help strengthen sponsor partnerships.
· Liaise with the Royals and Albany Sharks football clubs and incorporate respective game day/social events.
Marketing & Promotion
· Support the Events Manager in creating engaging content.
· Manage sponsor signage, advertising placements, and promotional commitments at the venue and online.
· Coordinate sponsor recognition at events.
Administration & Reporting
· General administrative tasks required for the maintenance and management of the facility.
· Prepare venue report, and sponsorship updates for committee review.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
· A current Approved Manager's certification, or the ability to obtain it.
· WA Food Safety Supervisor certificate, or the ability to obtain it.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following experience:
· Substantial experience in venue and facilities management.
· Substantial experience in bar operations and alcohol management plans.
· Substantial experience in delivering successful events from inception through to execution.
· An ability to work within the Microsoft Office suite of programs, particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
· Knowledge of basic bookkeeping data entry in MYOB.
· Knowledge of basic people resourcing and scheduling in Deputy.
