About the Role
This position focuses on overseeing outdoor works programs for reserve and open space management, ensuring sustainable development and maintenance.
As a key member of our team, you will supervise team members and volunteers, develop revegetation plans, handle parks maintenance tasks, and support community group initiatives.
This full-time role operates Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4pm, with a 9-day fortnight. It is based at our nursery in Golden Square.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Manage outdoor works programs to maintain and sustainably develop reserves and open space.
* Provide oversight to team members and volunteers.
* Create revegetation plans.
* Undertake parks maintenance functions.
* Support community group programs.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have knowledge of indigenous flora and fauna of the Central Victorian region, demonstrated expertise in pest plant and animal control, and a solid understanding of natural environment principles and practices.
You should also possess experience in supervising staff and working in a team environment. Additionally, a current driver's licence with Medium Rigid (MR) endorsement, Farm Chemical Users certificate, and satisfactory police check are essential.
