Primary objective

Provide strategic leadership to the delivery of NT-wide patient transport, specialist outreach, corporate travel services, and purchasing

and warehousing supply chain, to ensure delivery in a fiscally sustainable manner and according to standards of high performance.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Lead the development and delivery of contemporary policies, business practices and reporting relating to patient transport, specialist

outreach and corporate travel services to ensure they are efficient, sustainable and reflective of operational needs and support delivery

of the NT Regional Health Service (NTRHS) Service Plan.

1. Lead service delivery of reform to transport services that results in improved fiscal and performance outcomes for both the NTRHS

and the NT Government, including establishment of the NT Government's Charter Hub.

1. Lead complex procurement processes, negotiations and contract management to ensure NT Health obtains best value for money travel

services that meet patient needs.

1. Lead and manage a diverse and customer-focused team to deliver cost effective, timely and fit for purpose travel services for the

NTRHS and NT Government agencies.

1. Build a positive and collaborative working relationship across NT Health and more broadly across other NT Government agencies to

ensure service alignment to NT Health and cross-government initiatives and programs.

1. Promote and build organisational capability to support culturally safe regional and operational service delivery and practice.
2. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in

order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.

8. Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Extensive leadership experience within service delivery environments, including managing complex logistical operations, with a track

record of achieving results.

2. Sound professional judgement problem solving and planning skills and the ability to lead complex change management processes.

3. Demonstrated success in managing resources and achieving improved fiscal outcomes through delivering business improvement

initiatives.

1. Proven ability to cultivate productive working relationships and lead teams to achieve outcomes while creating a culture of

collaboration, innovation and accountability.

5. Demonstrated experience in leading complex negotiations, procurement processes and contract management.

6. Proven ability to communicate with influence and represent NT Health in a range of forums.

7. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.

Desirable

1. Recognised tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
