If you thrive on positive energy, we want to meet you!About the RoleWork with a supportive teamA pivotal leadership role within our Legal Property teamThis role provides comprehensive legal support to the Endeavour property team, covering network management, expansion, and optimisation through negotiation and documentation of leases and acquisitions. Responsibilities include offering legal counsel on property matters, ensuring regulatory compliance, representing legal interests in property committees, assisting with planning and development, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leading the legal property function.Our team embraces a hybrid working model, currently attending the state-based offices on Tuesdays and Thursdays.Here is a taste of what you can expect in this role:Supporting the property team in maintaining, optimising, and growing the networkNegotiating and documenting agreements for leases, acquisitions, and lease renewalsProviding legal advice on property-related matters and landlord disputesEnsuring compliance with laws impacting site licensingRepresenting legal at property committee meetings and vetting submissionsAssisting with planning applications and disputesCollaborating with cross-functional teams to develop risk mitigation strategiesLeading the legal property function, including coaching junior lawyersWhat do we need from youNow let’s talk about you:You will have the following experience, working autonomously with support from the General Counsel - Group, Property, and Transition:Current practising certificate8+ years PQE in Property LawLegal retail and hospitality experienceSpecialisation in Property LawDeep understanding of relevant legislation (e.g., Retail Leases Acts, planning laws)Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyersIn-house experience within retail or similar sectors is highly regardedTop-tier law firm background is highly regardedWhat’s in it for you?The benefits are good too!Flexible working arrangementsExclusive discount card for Endeavour Group brandsMonthly meeting-free daysSupport for physical, mental, and financial wellbeing through free servicesOpportunities for growth via dedicated learning and development programsAt Endeavour, we value a workplace where everyone’s welcome.
