We’re seeking an experienced IPM PAS Application Specialist who brings strong knowledge of Inpatient ADT and Waitlist workflows to support our evolving IPM environment in this full time, 2 year temporary role. This dedicated specialist will deliver essential system expertise and help drive excellence in patient administration services support across the IPM PAS platform.
Employment Type: Temporary Full Time (up to 2 years)
Position Classification: Senior Analyst
Remuneration: $59.60 - $69.13 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)
Location: DHS Cumberland Hospital + Remote working (two days from home currently)

What you'll be doing In this role, you will ensure NSW Health’s Patient Administration System (iPM) remains reliable, secure and optimised for frontline clinical services. You’ll drive system improvements, resolve issues, and provide expert guidance that helps clinicians and administrators deliver high‑quality care.
Your key contributions will include:

Managing system performance and availability through upgrades, releases, and proactive maintenance
* Providing advanced support across PAS modules, including ADT, Inpatient, Theatre and Waitlist
* Investigating and resolving application issues, including backend fixes and data corrections
* Enhancing reporting, extracts and data quality through close engagement with NSW Health stakeholders
* Supporting enhancements, testing cycles, documentation and training to improve user experience

License: Valid NSW Driving Licence.

Selection Criteria:
*
Qualifications and Experience- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience supporting Patient Administration Systems (PAS), PAS/IPM modules such as ADT, Waitlist, Theatres, Templates, and Reference Values.
* PAS Domain and Workflow - Demonstrated understanding of patient administration workflows and systems, including admissions, discharge, transfer (ADT), operating theatres flows, waiting lists, and related clinical and administrative processes. Ability to assess, interpret and communicate workflow changes effectively.
* Application Support and Build - Proven experience in PAS application support, including system configuration, build design, training delivery, and documentation (including ADT, Waiting Lists, Theatre workflow, Templates, Reference Values). Experience in functional, UAT, and integration testing, with understanding of HL7 messaging standards. iPM experience is beneficial.
* Analytical and Problem-Solving - Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong planning, time management, and organisational abilities to meet project and operational deliverables.
* Teamwork and Collaboration- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and service delivery.
* Stakeholder Engagement and Support Experience- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with proven ability to engage effectively with clinical, technical, and administrative stakeholders to achieve outcomes. Demonstrated highly developed customer engagement and support experience for delivery of excellent services to stakeholders.
* Communication - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate documentation for both technical and business audiences.
* Flexibility and Support - Willingness and ability to provide support outside normal business hours, including on-call and onsite support. Ability to travel as required, with a valid NSW Driver’s Licence.
