About the Role
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the plant. Your key responsibilities will include conducting routine and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment faults, and working closely with the operations team to improve equipment reliability and performance. This is a hands‐on role with a strong focus on both immediate equipment support and long‐term reliability improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs to maintain optimal equipment performance.
* Diagnose mechanical issues using effective fault‐finding techniques and tools.
* Support the condition monitoring programme and contribute to reliability improvement initiatives.
* Provide practical assistance with the delivery of capital projects.
* Apply knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems to support maintenance needs.
* Plan and record maintenance activities using the site's CMMS/work management system.
* Collaborate with production teams to drive improvements in equipment uptime and reliability.
* Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns to minimise disruption to operations.
* Maintain detailed shift records and ensure data accuracy in maintenance reporting.

Your Background
* Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
* Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter within FMCG or industrial environments
* Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
* Ability to work independently, take initiative, and see tasks through to completion
