About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Production Assistant to join our team in Bathurst. This role combines administrative responsibilities with hands-on support in our factory.
Key Responsibilities:
* Scheduling and Stocktakes: Assist with scheduling, monthly stocktakes, and inspections to ensure seamless operations.
* Coordinating with Teams: Coordinate with sales, precast managers, and project managers to meet target dates and address production delays.
* Maintenance and Ordering: Record equipment service requirements accurately and order casting items, issue purchase orders, and track consumables like concrete deliveries.
* Production Support: Provide hands-on assistance on the production floor as needed.
* WHS Representative: Act as a WHS representative, promoting a safety-first approach to ensure zero workplace injuries.
* Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with production, project, and sales teams to facilitate effective long-range forecasts.
* Quality Control: Ensure consistent application of best-practice production techniques and methods.
* Support for Precast Manager: Support the Precast Manager as needed and perform ad-hoc duties to maintain seamless operations.
Requirements:

* Administrative Experience: Proficient administrative experience and willingness to learn.
* Interpretation Skills: Ability to interpret shop drawings.
* Detailed Work: Natural flair for detailed work such as carpentry, formwork or similar.
