About this role
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our small, highly skilled team as we maintain and enhance a suite of software running on servers, tablets, and trucks in the field.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining both the user-facing application and the underlying systems that support it.
This includes helping improve and support our core services, including occasional work on performance-critical components.
Additionally, they will ensure our databases and servers are reliable, up to date, and running efficiently.
They will also integrate and manage real-time data flows, such as location tracking and live updates, and support our automated build and deployment processes to keep releases smooth.
Fitting the exact skills above is not required; however, the ideal candidate will need to demonstrate deep technical and communication skills in the interview process.
We are using CouchDB and PostgreSQL, optimizing Nginx configurations, managing real-time GPS data streams and WebSocket connections, and overseeing networking, firewalls, and our continuous integration pipelines.
Key responsibilities:
* Build and maintain the user-facing application and underlying systems

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, particularly in languages such as TypeScript, Rust, and C++, and experience with databases and servers like CouchDB and PostgreSQL.
They will also have knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and CI/CD pipelines.
