Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to lead our regional Beneficial Use Facilities. This key role will be responsible for planning and directing the activities of the facilities under the direction of senior management.
* This position is responsible for the overall management of the facilities including approval, receipt, delivery, and placement operations, maintenance, and proper utilization of staff and equipment.
* The successful candidate will oversee operations and maintenance activities for all aspects of the project locations.
* They will work with individuals at various levels and roles inside and outside the organization, including hourly and salaried employees, managers, leadership, vendors, partners, regulatory agency staff, community members, and local representatives.
* This role directly and indirectly manages a team of supervisors and hourly facility processing staff including laborers, scale operators, equipment operators, administrative staff, and technical support roles along with oversight of subcontractors and suppliers.
* The individual will work in partnership with the safety team to actively ensure a safe and healthy work environment with a consistent focus on continuous improvement, safe work practices, and positive employee health and wellbeing.
* They will generate reports for senior management and regulatory agencies.
* This role ensures all activities are completed in accordance with plans and specifications and applicable Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements.
* The successful candidate will maintain positive relationships with all state and local regulatory agencies.
* Responsibilities include facility compliance, transportation logistics, and overall profitability.
* Recommend new work practices, coordinate the flow of data to and from management, control expenditures, and recommend equipment upgrades or replacement.
