Trade Affairs Officer
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Trade Affairs Officer in the Trade Section. The successful candidate will contribute to the fulfillment of the mandate of the EU Delegation regarding trade and economic relations between the European Union and Australia.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor and report on trade issues and external economic relations, including trade in services, investment, industrial policy, agriculture, and market access.
* Send regular press/media reviews concerning local coverage of issues important to Headquarters.
* Provide briefings, draft speeches, statements, press releases, and articles concerning assigned areas.
* Develop working relations with national authorities, private sector representatives, and other local operators.
* Represent the EU and participate in conferences, meetings, and public events on trade matters.
Requirements:
1. A university degree in economics, trade, trade law, political science, international relations, or related fields.
2. A minimum of 5 years' relevant professional experience in trade and economic analysis reporting.
3. Excellent knowledge of English (C1 level).
4. Right to residence and work in Australia.
The successful candidate will be subject to a medical check. The process includes selection by the Committee, shortlisting, and final interviews.
