Aboriginal Solicitor Role in Northern Rivers
This solicitor position is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Aboriginal clients and communities across the Northern Rivers region.
As part of our Civil Law Service for Aboriginal Communities team, you will provide outreach services to Aboriginal communities, working face-to-face with clients to deliver high-quality advice, minor assistance, and casework services.
* You will work closely with FamAC solicitors and Aboriginal Field Officers on outreach from time to time.
In this role, you will be supported through supervision by a senior solicitor, professional development, and training opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Aboriginal clients and/or communities, with a strong understanding of the legal and social issues they face.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality legal advice and casework services to Aboriginal clients and communities.

* Support the development of culturally safe legal practices.
Requirements
* Be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
* Be admitted or eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW.
* Hold a valid NSW Practising Certificate.
* Have a current NSW driver's licence.
