PhD Scholarship in Catalytic Biomass Conversion

The opportunity to develop a novel catalytic system for converting biomass into valuable chemicals has arisen.

This PhD project combines studies in homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis with the complex chemistry of carbohydrates and derivatives.

Key responsibilities include designing and synthesizing heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysts, testing their catalytic performance in hydrogenative biomass conversion, and mentoring BSc and MSc students.

Required skills and qualifications include a Master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related fields, good communication skills in written and spoken English, and the ability to work independently and collaborate.
