About The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organised Workforce Planner to support shutdown and project operations across Western Australia. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate workforce scheduling, forward planning, and seamless coordination between clients, operations, and internal teams. Youll be responsible for translating long-term forecasts into actionable workforce plans while maintaining compliance, efficiency, and clear communication across all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret long-term labour forecasts and reflect them within internal systems
Maintain and update master rosters and workforce allocations
Liaise with client planners and internal stakeholders to confirm labour and equipment needs
Monitor fatigue management and escalate risks where required
Confirm personnel availability and communicate rosters and project details
Coordinate vehicle and equipment bookings in advance
Prepare detailed handovers for short-term planning teams
Support recruitment and planning managers with forecasting and trade coverage
Skills & Experience
Proven experience managing workforce schedules and labour forecasts
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Professional, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset
Strong stakeholder engagement and people skills
Experience supporting shutdown or project-based workforces
Workforce planning experience with Rio Tinto, BHP, or FMG highly regarded
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft 365 and Excel skills
