About the role This is a strategic leadership role reporting to the Executive Director, Major Programs, responsible for driving financial integrity, governance, and assurance across a complex, enterprise-wide program. You will provide expert financial leadership across a large-scale technology program, ensuring robust financial planning, forecasting, reconciliation, and reporting processes are in place. This role goes beyond transactional finance — it is focused on strengthening financial governance, uplifting capability, and providing trusted strategic advice to senior executives. You will play a critical role in validating and reconciling program finances, embedding financial discipline, and ensuring funding is aligned to approved strategic objectives Key Responsibilities Lead program-level financial planning, forecasting, reconciliation and reporting Establish clear, executive-level reporting frameworks that drive transparency and confidence Design financial models, dashboards and performance frameworks to support informed decision-making Provide strategic financial advice on risks, trends, opportunities and funding sustainability Strengthen financial governance in line with NSW Government and PMO standards Mentor and uplift financial capability across project and program teams Identify and mitigate strategic or systemic financial risks that may impact delivery About You You are a commercially astute finance leader with experience overseeing large, complex programs — ideally within government or similarly structured environments. You bring Strong financial acumen (CPA or MBA preferred) Proven experience managing program-level financial reporting and control environments Demonstrated success leading large-scale, complex programs with enterprise governance requirements Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at executive level Experience working with program management frameworks (MSP, PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile) Advanced proficiency in MS Project and the Microsoft Office suite You are resilient, decisive, and confident operating in high-pressure, multi-stakeholder environments where clarity, transparency and strong governance are essential.
