Senior Engineer – Drainage & Flooding (Queensland)
We are seeking an experienced drainage specialist with strong technical capability in 12d to join our high-performing Queensland team. This role is ideal for professionals with a proven background delivering drainage and flooding design for major road and/or rail infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist technical input and lead design packages for drainage and flooding projects.
* Support multidisciplinary project teams across significant transport programs in Queensland and nationally.
* Ensure analysis and design tasks meet appropriate technical standards and client requirements.
* Deliver projects within client scope, budget and timeframes.
* Prepare high‐quality technical reports with minimal review.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent discipline).
* 7–15 years' experience in drainage and flooding design, ideally within a consultancy environment.
* Advanced capability with 12d, including hydrology, hydraulic modelling, and drainage design workflows.
* Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards, Austroads guidelines, and TMR requirements.
* Demonstrated experience delivering projects to client scope, budget, and timeframes.
* Experience working within multidisciplinary teams across major transport projects.
* Willingness to undertake occasional travel as project needs arise.
