Dermadocs Skin Cancer Clinics is a leading specialist skin cancer practice, known for high-quality care, procedural excellence, and strong clinical governance.
We are seeking an experienced Practice Operations Manager to provide operational leadership across our clinics and support the Directors and clinicians in delivering efficient, patient-centred services.
This is a senior, non-clinical, part-time role (approximately 0.6 FTE), suited to an experienced healthcare operations or practice manager who enjoys autonomy, responsibility, and working closely with clinical leaders.

About the Role
The Practice Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Dermadocs Skin Cancer Clinics, overseeing non-clinical staff and coordinating the operational integration of both employed and independent contractor medical practitioners.
The role focuses on:
* Operational delivery and workflow efficiency
* People leadership and workforce coordination
* Systems, risk, compliance, and governance support
* Financial and administrative oversight
Clinical decision-making and clinical governance remain the responsibility of the treating clinicians and Directors.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily practice operations, patient flow, scheduling, and workforce coordination
* Lead and support reception, administrative, and non-clinical teams
* Implement and maintain efficient operational systems and workflows
* Coordinate procedural and theatre operations, including staffing and room utilisation
* Support Directors with business planning, governance processes, and reporting
* Oversee financial administration, payroll processes, and operational KPIs
* Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance, and development of non-clinical staff
* Coordinate practitioner engagement, onboarding, and scheduling
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, accreditation, and risk frameworks
* Liaise with external providers including accountants, IT, insurers, and suppliers
* Support team members and perform operational duties as required to meet business needs
* Undertake other duties reasonably required from time to time consistent with the role

About You
You are a confident, organised, and pragmatic operations leader with experience in healthcare or practice management.
Essential experience and skills include:
* Healthcare operations or practice management experience
* Strong people management and leadership capability
* Understanding of Medicare billing processes and compliance
* Financial administration and reporting experience
* Knowledge of employment, WHS, and privacy legislation
* Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work autonomously and implement Director-led decisions
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience in a skin cancer or procedural healthcare setting
* Certified Practice Manager (AAPM) or similar
* Exposure to accreditation and quality frameworks
* Previous senior operations or practice management experience
