We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in delivering high-quality mental health services to children and young people.
Job Role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will play a key role in the assessment and treatment planning for children and young people, including undertaking assessments, care planning and delivery of individual and group secondary level mental health interventions.
Main Responsibilities
* Assessment and Treatment Planning: Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and young people's mental health needs, develop and implement effective treatment plans, and provide ongoing support and guidance to families and carers.
* Collaborative Care Partnerships: Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with service providers across primary health, child health and parenting, paediatrics, child safety, education, and child and young person based programs and services.
* Client Outcome Data: Collect and review client outcome data, identify areas for improvement, and participate in activities to enhance client outcomes.
* Professional Development: Contribute to continuing quality and safety, service development and improvement, and professional development processes and standards.
Work Environment
The successful candidate will be working in a rural remote region, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to deliver excellence in mental health care to consumers, families and communities.
Requirements
* Nursing Qualifications: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Working with Children Registration: Current Working with Children Registration.
Desirable criteria include minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in an area relevant to the role and current Driver's Licence.
